Les Mémoires
Kimberly Lukowski

grandfather, Frank Lukowski, is going to be missed dearly.  Me and him we had so many good memories, more than i could write on here.  He wasn't only my grandfather he was my best friend.  When i need advice or i just wanted to gossip with someone, he'd be the first person i call.  Me and him have been through alot.  He'd tell me the story of when i was little and lived in New York that how i was like a little mouse climbing up the stairs to see him and Grandma.   I remember when i was about 4 and my grandmom was sick with cancer me and him went to the church and lit a candle for him and he told me how he said to god, to either make her better or to take her away with god, because he no longer wanted her to suffer.  He said when we went home from church her moved her to the chair and she passed away.     And then how i put a smile on his face because i was only 4 years old and i said "Pop you want me to make the bed for you?" and he said he never seen alittle kid make a bed so good, that he was peeking through the door and i was on top of the bed pulling the blanket over."   He'd always make sure i had the best Christmas's , Birthdays, Easter, etc.   He'd also be the first one to get you with his "April Fool's Jokes"..    (we all had a memory or two of those that'll make us all laugh!"  And on the weekends he'd go pick up my 2 cousins, Frankie & Jen, and we'd have movie night and he'd make us up tickets and have all popcorn, chips, candy, etc. and we'd watch movies like "Home Alone - he had the biggest laugh of that movie"  , He'd take us fishing (the time we all threw the fishing polls on the ground and starting running and he had to do it, lol)  he'd take us to National Park, Cowtown, all over!   He was the strongest and smartest person that i know.   I dont think someone else could of made a bigger impact then he did on my life!  He always told you the right thing to do.   He always said "I did what i had to do, not what i wanted to do"

Then as i had kids, i'd bring them to his house and he'd be playing with my daughter 7 in the morning playing "mailman" with her and racing her with his power chair and her bike, i'd be sleeping and i'd hear his power chair, cause it was sqeeky, and he'd be coming up playing with the two boys too.   He'd do his little "cha cha cha little baby" to them.   They'd be watching tv in the living room and he'd go "i dont know what they see but they love watching that tv show with the yellow cheese (Spongebob).

I do wish i had more time with him, but i am glad he didnt suffer, and for the 28, almost 29  years i did have with him.   I'll miss having my best friend around!

I Miss you Pop!!

Love ,

Kimberly Lukowski
